FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
The Answers You Need
WILL LASH EXTENSIONS DAMAGE MY NATURAL LASHES?
This is the #1 concern of absolutely everyone looking to get lash extensions, and the answer is NO! Lash extensions will not damage your natural lashes if applied properly. I work with each client individually, using different lengths and thicknesses of lashes to make sure the right look is achieved while maintaining the health of your natural lashes!
CAN EYELASH EXTENSIONS LOOK NATURAL?
Absolutely! Lashes can always be customized to give you any look you want. From looking like you just have a coat of great mascara on to a full glam look and anything in between, lash extensions are for anyone! From the crossfit/hot yoga/gym junkie that just wants to look pretty while in beast mode, to the glam girl that's always looking on point, any look can be achieved with lash extensions.
SO, HOW EXACTLY DOES THE PROCESS WORK?
During the application you will be laying down in a very comfy recliner chair. The lashes are applied one by one with a surgical grade adhesive. One extension is adhered to every one of your natural lashes. The process is completely pain free, in fact most clients fall asleep! The initial appointment for a full set takes about 2 hours, we can chat, you can nap, or feel free to bring your headphones or whatever makes you the most relaxed and comfortable!
WHAT ARE THE DO'S AND DON'TS?
DO keep your lashes clean! Lashes love water so don’t be afraid to get them wet!
DO brush your lashes morning and night. I will give you a little lash brush (basically a mascara wand) and you’ll want to brush your lashes when you wake up or anytime after they get wet.
DO plan on coming back every 2-3 weeks for a fill in order to maintain your lashes so they stay looking amazing.
DON’T rub your eyes. Your lashes are adhered with surgical grade adhesive however you still want to be gentle with them.
DON’T use products containing oils near your lash line and especially
DON’T use mascara! Oil breaks down the adhesive and causes your lashes to fall off quicker.
DON’T (or at least try really hard not to) sleep on your stomach. The lashes are made out of a synthetic silk material to feel soft and fluffy just like your natural lashes. That being said you don’t want to do anything that’s going to “smash” your lashes.
DON’T attempt to remove the lashes yourself!! If (for whatever reason) you don’t love your lashes and would like them removed, please don’t hesitate to contact me! As mentioned above the adhesive is surgical grade. The only way to safely remove your extensions without harming your natural lashes is to have a professional remove them for you!
